Here at Noble Isle, we like to think of the New Year as a chance to make a fresh start. To set New Year resolutions that that are easy to keep, such as the chance to make your life that little bit more planet-friendly.
We don’t think that you should have to compromise on the things you love in order to do your bit for the world around us. We think that planet-friendly products should just be part of the package.

What is Veganuary?
Veganuary is an annual challenge, started in 2014, promoted by The Vegan Society, that encourages people to follow a vegan lifestyle for the month of January.
It was originally started to alter the public opinion about becoming vegan. It has been phenomenally successful with over 85% of non-vegan participants reducing their consumption of animal products.
How Does Being Vegan Help the Planet?
There have been several studies that demonstrate that if we switched to a vegan diet, we could massively help to reduce carbon emissions. Some studies even suggest that if we all went vegan, we could cut the world’s food related emissions by 68% within 15 years.
Often when we think about veganism, it’s heavily associated with the food we eat but we don’t necessarily think about the products we use on our bodies. We all look to choose products that are cruelty-free but we don’t take the next step to check if the products we’re using are vegan too.
We always opt for ingredients that come from non-animal sources and we have a rigorous audit process to ensure no cross-contamination anywhere in our manufacturing process. We also manufacture everything ourselves at our factory in Chester.
How Do I Look For Vegan Shower Gel?
A simple way to find a vegan shower gel is to look for the logo from The Vegan Society. We’re currently in the process of seeking our approval and hope to share this with you very soon!
Most liquid shower gels are vegan as they are detergent based whereas hard soaps are created from rendered animal fats.
There are also other ingredients to look out for such as honey, beeswax, lanolin, albumen, carmine and collagen. All are ingredients that can be found in cosmetic products from body creams to shower gels to shampoos and all are non-vegan ingredients.
